Jilanne Eggleston
Our founder, Jilanne Eggleston, brings a warm, caring, and supportive presence to Someplace Special Micro School. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies and has over 30 years of classroom experience working with children and families. Jilanne is passionate about helping students feel safe, valued, and encouraged as they learn and grow. She enjoys creating a positive environment where each child is treated with patience, kindness, and respect. Her heart for children, dependable nature, and commitment to supporting individualized learning make her an important part of the Someplace Special Micro School team.
Meganne Karn
Meganne Karn is a caring mother of two who loves working with children in an environment that encourages growth, creativity, and confidence. She enjoys helping children feel supported as they learn, explore, and develop new skills. Meganne brings a creative spirit to the classroom and especially enjoys crafts, hands-on projects, and activities that allow students to express themselves. Her patience, warmth, and love for children make her a wonderful part of the Someplace Special Micro School team.
Emily Floyd
Emily Floyd is excited to join Someplace Special Micro School as our Behavior Specialist. She has dedicated her career to supporting children with a wide range of learning and behavioral needs, including autism, ADHD, developmental disabilities, and other unique learning differences. Emily is passionate about helping students build confidence, develop meaningful skills, and reach their full potential in a supportive and understanding environment. In her role, she will work closely with students, families, and staff to create positive behavior supports that encourage growth, independence, emotional regulation, and success both inside and outside the classroom. Emily believes every child deserves individualized support that recognizes their strengths, helps them overcome challenges, and empowers them to feel safe, understood, celebrated, and ready to learn.
